Pushing Boundaries

10:30am - 12:00pm

Being dominant is often interpreted by the act of surrender by the submissive.  A common way to obtain surrender is to push boundaries.  It is also a fast track way towards violating consent.

So how does a dominant push boundaries while respecting negotiated limits and how do you negotiate without feeling as though you are being dictated to?

Are we even allowed to be dominant anymore?

Join the discussion as Aleni unpacks the pathways and pitfalls of playing with power dynamics and pushing boundaries.

Heavy Bondage, Sensory Deprivation and Mummification

1:00pm - 2:30pm

Sensory Deprivation, Heavy bondage and mummification

We move through the world experiencing it with our five senses. This workshop will discuss and demonstrate how these can be taken away and the impact this has.

Leather, chains, plastic wrap, hoods, blindfolds, earplugs, gags and more.

What happens to someone when you deprive them of their sight? When you muffle their hearing. When you enclose their skin? When you restrict almost every aspect of their movement?

Tape, mitts, belts, straightjackets and more.

There are many equipment, technique and safety considerations. This is a powerful and deeply connective type of BDSM play that can achieve deep changes of mental state, from meditative to submissive. Through a combination of discussion and demonstration, this workshop will give you an understanding of how you can incorporate this kind of play in your own scenes.

Breathplay

3:00pm - 4:30pm

A DV8’s take on breath play.

Controlling your partners ability to breathe can be thrilling rush of power and as the saying goes, with power comes  responsibility.  The risk of serious harm while doing breathplay is high so learning what those risks are and how to reduce them is part of the responsibility you take on when agreeing to this type of play.

Mark DV8 has a wealth of knowledge about breath play, not just technique but the considerations of safety and ethics. While all our play is based on consent it’s important to know just what you are consenting to.

Join Mark DV8 as he discusses the pleasures and pitfalls of breathplay.
