Mark is renowned for teaching and performing advanced Japanese rope bondage. His performance style combines his intense sensuality, undeniable dominance and innate skill. Each performance is a creation of dynamic Japanese rope bondage and SM imagery.
In 2006 Mark travelled to Japan to tie with his friend Osada Steve. This friendship with Steve has had a strong influence on his bondage style, which follows in the Akechi Denki lineage. Mark has always believed in the importance of spending time with people of interest for inspiration. He has tied many times with his friend Hajime Kinoko, after accepting an invitation to perform at the inaugural Toubaku in 2011. Most recently Mark and Nawashi Kanna have shared quality time together exploring rope forms, to further embed the Akechi Denki traditions in Mark's rope style. Mark has also spent time tying with Yukimura Haruki and both have similar beliefs regarding erotic rope energy.
But it’s not all about the rope! Mark also has a wide range of skills in many other BDSM subjects such as; instruction on singletails, insertable hook suspension, forced orgasms, and polyamory to name a few.
When did it all begin? In 2001 Mark established his kink family DV8House, along with his slave Aleni, and together they began a series of skill shares and monthly house parties that were to continue throughout the next 5 years.
Throughout his life Mark’s personal MO has been to be the best he can be. That philosophy applied to his approach to BDSM set him on the path of education and performance. Seeing the limited opportunities for education in Australia at that time, Mark began sponsoring international kink educators to visit Australia beginning with Midori’s inaugural tour in March 2005. These early ventures helped to establish Australia as a travel destination for many educators and performers.
Later in 2005, Mark was invited to teach at the inaugural Austin Ropecraft Symposium in the US. This lead to an invitation to present at Shibaricon III (the following year), and became the basis of an annual USA tour for the DV8House family. This annual trip allowed for the opportunity to present classes in cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle.
Mark currently resides at DV8House, Sydney with his two girls Aleni and Lani.

The adventure began in 2006 on one of my first visits to Hellfire, Sydney. Here I met a man called Mark (who I’d heard very good things about); including that he loved to tie people up. I smiled at him and asked: “Excuse me? If you’re not busy would you like to tie me?” His answer was: “Hell yeah!” I soon discovered the magic beneath the strands and Mark has been tying me up ever since.
Mark has been tying since he entered the scene in 2001, and his style has been strongly influenced by his friendships with Osada Steve, Hajime Kinoko, Nawashi Kanna and Yukimura Haruki.
Together we have perfected our own unique style of Japanese inspired rope bondage, and I fast became known for my signature rapid transitions and acrobatic manoeuvres in rope suspension, which earned me the local nickname of ‘flygirl’, which stuck – and has followed me all over the world.
We have performed in many a venue, with audiences ranging from 10 to 1500 people, across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Japan. Some of these events include; Sensual Ball; Hellfire; New Zealand Fetish Ball; and some of the highest honours – Toubaku and Japan Fetish Ball. Our signature twists and turns, rockin’ and rollin’, and the intense power and energy exchange we share, continue to inspire all that see.
Partnering with Mark has brought many an opportunity to my life, and by the end of 2006 we were travelling overseas to present classes in the United States and New Zealand. With (almost) annual trips to the United States, and frequently visiting Japan (our escape-from-reality-holidays), we have been lucky to meet many wonderful like minded kink lovers along the way. As this is our pleasure – we get so much satisfaction out of inspiring other like-minded people and friends.
At Xplore in 2011, I was lucky enough to attend a spontaneous self-suspension class of Asahi Ageha’s. This was a rare chance to learn some skills from a very talented performance artist, and it opened my eyes to another new dimension of rope. It was like love at first sight – and another perfect addition to our performance repertoire.
I live in Sydney with my partner Mark of over 18 years, and my co-partner Aleni De Viate. Together we live in a polyamorous relationship of long standing, and we enjoy playing, teaching and performing as DV8House, Sydney.

Having first attended the studio in 2016, Thief and his partner Tai_Me have been trying together since 2018 with a mindset of communication, trust and sadomasochism.
Their style is based off a deep understanding of complexity through simplicity, and a focus on fundamentals to achieve goals.
With a Mindset focus on the person over tools, and playing with the mind rather than the toys, Thief wants to constantly grow and to see others grow closer and safer over time.
