OzBound 2019 Class Details

Class Levels

Classes have broadly been divided up into three different skill levels

  • All levels - Participants of all skill levels will benefit from this class. As a technical minimum we recommend that participants be able to tie a single column, inline cuff, half hitch and join rope. Participants will need 3 or more lengths or rope unless specified otherwise

  • Intermediate - Unless stated otherwise participants are expected to be able to tie a three rope Takatekote in a reasonable amount of time and be able to control the tension.

  • Advanced - These classes should be challenging to more experienced participants. They are aimed at people already comfortable suspending. To be able to engage in the activities the instructor must be comfortable with the participants skill level to be able to safely perform the practical component. Unless otherwise stated these classes require riggers be able to tie a 3 rope Takatekote in a reasonable amount of time, as well as have experience having performed suspensions. Assumed knowledge is upline management and lockoffs. For people being tied we recommend prior experience in rope suspensions.

If you are unsure about the level of the class or your experience then we strongly recommend talking to the instructor, well in advanced of the class.
