Pleasure Pain Principle

Monday 29th January from 7pm - 9pm

Mainstream society views the enjoyment of receiving and giving of pain as some kind of mental aberration. However the world of BDSM is saturated with the idea of pain play being the bread and butter of BDSM games. Why is that?

The seeming requirement of the SM part of BDSM can be an overwhelming road block into play for both the giver and receiver. As with many things, we don't know much about art but we do know what we like.

The Pleasure Pain Principle is presented as an interactive workshop during which Aleni De Viate will discuss not only why and how we play with pain but also provide explorative activities (non sadistic/non play) to demonstrate the way we relate and connect with each other.

You do not need a partner to participate in this workshop.

Aleni De Viate is a female dominant who also identifies as the slave of Mark De Viate. Aleni has been in the scene since 1998 and specialises in Dominant/submissive relationship dynamics, S/m and Shibari. Cofounder of Studio Kink Sydney, Aleni is dedicated to the consent principals of the F.R.I.E.S consent model and works to provide a safe inclusive space at Studio Kink. As a kink educator and Shibari artist she has taught and performed around the world.

Aleni is also available for private sessions whether that be for tutelage, training, mentorship or merely just to experience something you have always wanted to try.
