Kink Yoga

Presented by David Aeon and Suzie Q

A yoga session that focuses on warming up the shoulders, back and legs as well as offering mindful breath and body practices to help ride sensations that may arise during in your rope session. The aim of the class is to help you 'drop in' to a relaxed state of higher consciousness before the rope work begins, creating a deeper sense of connection between yourself, your breath and your body as well as between yourself and your partner.

Not ‘Just’ a Bunny

Presented by Atheera

Are they safe to tie with? How do I know? Should that hurt? Do they know that rope on my arm is pinching me? Is that meant to be that tight? How do I tell them without ruining the moment?  Am I talking too much? How do I get more flexible? Should I have stretched before this?

This workshop addresses the concerns and many of the questions rope bottoms face when starting their rope journey. In this workshop, Atheera explains how a rope bottom can be risk aware without being a rigger and share with you what she wishes someone had shared with her before starting her rope journey.

May the floor be with you

By using simple techniques and communicating with each other, you'll be able to create sustainable shapes to form a solid foundation to maximise your vision, be that artistic, sensual or playful.

Ties will be hands in front only and no hands behind back ties taught in this class, and all ties are to be adapted to the person being tied.

Requirements
Safety equipment
At least 5 hanks of natural fibre rope
Pre-requisites : single column tie
Target audience: all
Rope bottom requirements: you only need to be able to communicate, the ties should not be stressful on your bodies, unless otherwise negotiated with your rigger

It's all in the hips

Presented by -succubus- and noxiousblossom

In this class we focus on creating ties that focus on the hips so we can build ties that are sustainable for our rope partner/s, before we get them into trickier positions  In this class, we will go through a few different variations and adapt accordingly. While the ties themselves are relatively simple in application, tension and placement is your game. By adding in a few other elements, these ties really add versatility and give you freedom to explore.

Rope bottoms: this class will focus on your hips so when you are partially or fully suspended you feel supported by the rope.

Target audience: this class is appropriate for intermediate and beyond and students should know how to safely attach mainlines for suspension. If you are not ready to complete the suspension element, or just don't want to, these ties can be incredibly functional on the floor as well.

Equipment: at least 8 hanks of rope, 2-4 biners and or a ring.
